NORBRAIN Gets NOK 80 Million
This was 1 out of 12 applications that will be receiving funding from the Norwegian Research Council to establish new infrastructure.
The name NORBRAIN is short for the "Norwegian Brain Initiative - A Largs-scale Infrastructure for the 21st Century Neuroscience" and was initiated by the the three Nansen Neuroscience Network members Centre for Molecular Biology ans Neuroscience (CMBN, UiO), Medical Imaging Laboratory (MI Lab) and Centre for the Biology of Memory (CBM, NTNU) where the project co-ordinator is Edvard I. Moser.
The aim of NORBRAIN is to promote new and cutting edge science on compplex mental funtions and dysfunctions such as Altzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. The funding will be used to upgrade laboratory facilities and equipment and to upgrade systems for information and data exchange.
