Bergen Teknologioverføring AS (BTO) is located in Bergen at the west coast of Norway. BTO was founded December 2004 by the University of Bergen, Haukeland University Hospital and the Institute of Marine Research. BTO and other technology transfer offices in Norway was established following a law change granting universities and colleges in Norway the right to commercially exploit patentable inventions by employees.

Inven2 is the next-generation innovation company, established to maintain and develop Norwegian innovations. We build bridges between excellent research and the next generation technology based industry.

Inven2 is the largest contributor in Norway within the field of commercialization of research, owned by the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital, Norway's largest and leading university and hospital representing pioneering research.

Pattern Solutions develops technology to carry out analysis of huge sets of data. Such a field is denoting datamining or pattern recognition. In addition the company carries out consutative services on the technology that is developed. By use of technology from Pattern Solutions one can carry out analyis of many different sets of data to identify for instance deseases in an early phase such as cancer, autism, ADHD, Epilepsy, etc.

OptiNose’s innovative breath-powered nasal delivery technology is designed to efficiently and reliably deliver drugs to targeted, hard-to-reach areas to treat a variety of medical conditions. In the case of OptiNose, our “way in” is through the nose and the area of targeted drug delivery is the nasal cavity. We have created an elegant, simple-to-use device based on our breakthrough technology which uses the natural function of a patient’s breath to propel medications into the nasal cavity more consistently and efficiently than current treatment approaches.

Holberg EEG is a company established in 2009, in Bergen, Norway, with main focus on taking clinical and research use of electroencephalography (EEG) to the next level. Our products are built by experienced clinical neurophysiologists and software developers that together are our most valuable resource. Holberg EEG products are unique software applications integrated with your EEG reader with a valuable fast and easy EEG reporting system based on the new standardized descriptions SCORE.

Novartis was created in 1996 through the merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz, two companies with a rich and diverse corporate history. Throughout the years, Novartis and its predecessor companies have discovered and developed many innovative products for patients and consumers worldwide.

Otivio AS was founded January 2010 based on technology developed by the medical doctors Erling Bekkestad Rein and Marius Filtvedt. Based on their advanced understanding of physiology and medicine, they developed an instrument that would maintain optimal body core temperature in patients, and thereby improve patient survival and recovery rates. The focus was on treating or preventing hypothermia.

Smartfish emulsions have a potent content of fresh (low-oxidised) marine omega 3. Specific applications have been developed for clinical nutrition, nutraceuticals/nutritional drinks, nutritional supplements and sports performance nutrition. The main purpose and emphasis of Smartfish is to develop nutritional solutions which modulate underlying mechanisms involved in specific diseases – Pharmaconutrition This approach -and products – contribute to prevention, early treatment, and support during medical treatment of chronic diseases.
