Introductory seminar on fMRI and DTI, focusing on clinical applications of these methods. Participant will be given a basic understanding of fMRI and DTI, as well as gain knowledge of the possibilities and limitations of these methods.
Keynote speakers: •Dr. Marco Catani, head of Natbrainlab, Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London, UK. •Dr. Johan Eriksson, assistant professor at Umeå Center for Functional Brain Imaging, Umeå University, Sweden. •Dr. Srinivasan Mukundan, section head of Neuroradiology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Associate Professor of Radiology, Harvard Medical School, Boston, US. The program will include: •Introductory lectures on fMRI and DTI •Keynote lectures on applications of fMRI and DTI in research and in the clinic •Keynote lecture on fMRI and DTI used for pre-surgical planning •Introduction to fMRI paradigms and tips on how to set up an fMRI examination •Potential pitfalls, validation and post processing of fMRI and DTI data •Live demonstration of fMRI and DTI on a 3T MR scanner •Demonstration of systems for neuronavigation •Demonstration and hands-on training of fMRI and DTI software
